I love apple cider vinegar and use it all the time in my salad dressings but did you know that ACV is a serious beauty game changer too?! There are a ton of amazing uses for apple cider vinegar but these are a few of my faves...

1. DIY Toner

I stopped buying toner a few months ago and now I mix my own! I mix 1 part ACV to 3 parts water. You can use a stronger ratio but because ACV is acidic, I'd recommend starting with this solution and working your way up if you feel you need. If you really want to get fancy you can even add a few drops of tea tree or lavender oil then store in a jar and apply with a cotton pad or place in a spray bottle to mist your skin after cleansing. Allow to dry, don't rinse off then apply your moisturizer as normal! You can thank me later, this is WAAAAY less expensive than buying toner and works just as well if not better!

2. Sunburn Relief

It's summer time and as much as we all know the importance of SPF and wearing hats to protect our skin, S#it happens and every now and again we find ourselves burned. I'm a fan of reaching for aloe when this happens but over my holiday when I burned from a week in the 30+ degree heat and found myself without aloe I read that a mixture of ACV and water does the trick. So, out came my toner and it totally helped! If I'd had the bottle of vinegar with me on vacay the proper ratio is 1/4 cup ACV to 2 cups water. Then take a washcloth and soak in the solution and place on burned skin. I never in a million years would have thought to put vinegar on a burn but this is a trick I'll be remembering from now on.

3. Hair Rinse

There are multiple hair benefits with ACV. After shampooing, take a solution of 2 tbsp ACV and 1 cup water and rinse your hair. Massage into the scalp and you'll see that the ACV not only aids in removing the buildup of product and shampoo that can accumulate on your scalp but it'll also make your locks extra shiny. Or, if you have dandruff, mix equal parts ACV and water and use in hair pre-shampoo, massaging into the scalp. The anti-fungal properties of the vinegar will combat dandruff.

So what do you think, will you be incorporating ACV into your beauty routine?  These are only a few of the ways ACV can aid in your beauty routine! Just make sure to use raw, organic, unfiltered and unpasterurized vinegar like this one from SPUD. And if you want to try it for free, use referral code CREDM-TIDDIA and get $20 in FREE groceries from SPUD (the ACV is less than $6!). What are you waiting for?!
