Front Entry: Three Ways

Your front entry is the first impression to your home, the first space guests see when they walk through the door plus, the first taste of home you feel every time you come back from your days activities. When I come home I want to feel instantly relaxed and comfortable and for me, a lot of this has to do with how my space looks and feels.

Our front entry has gone through a few transformations already but it's current set up is without a doubt my favourite. Our minimalist Scandinavian Console table is the perfect piece that has totally transformed this space. It's modern, simple and the small scale of the piece makes it perfect for smaller front entryways like our own.

The North Avenue Collection from The Brick is by far one of my favourite collections (you might remember I plan to use several pieces in my Bella Casa Spa project, I have other pieces from the collection in my office and I used these pieces heavily in the Shop The Skinny store too!). The clean lines of the sofa table in my front entry really makes for a simple backdrop to do almost anything with. Today I thought I'd show 3 different ways to style the piece in my front entry.  Take a look and let me know which is your favourite!

Look #1 - Black, White & Cozy

This first look is mostly monochromatic for a simple and modern look. The Tyler table lamp is a large scale piece that's balanced by the trio of accessories I picked up from The Brick. (The black faceted vase, grey vase and blue 3-wick candle are from The Brick!). To cheat to add a bit of height, I use grey stacked books to balance the look. Below, a black basket (one of a trio I picked up from The Brick) is perfect for holding scarves, mitts and toques through the cooler months. And of course because this is me after all, I can't have a single space in my house that doesn't have a bit of greenery so dried branches are perfect placed in the black vase.

Look #2 - Fresh & Green

This second look is the one that's currently in our front entry. The chilton ottomans are great for additional seating when entertaining or for sitting down to put your shoes on. I love how they add a great pop of color! I found so many gorgeous accessories at The Brick last month including an array of white vases for greenery and the beautiful wooden circle object that I just LOVE! This look is one that I think I'll be sticking with throughout the winter because shades of blues and greens (cool colors) make me think of the cooler winter months.  I also picked up a concrete storage box that's great for storing keys and of course a candle is necessary in any decorative grouping + to add some cozy-factor for the winter!

Look #3 - Simple & Natural

This third look is simple with accents of greenery and natural textures to feel cozy. I picked up this gorgeous ceramic vase from The Brick and with a pop of greenery, it's a showstopping piece that I get so many compliments on! A low wicker tray is perfect for catching keys and mail and to finish the look, a simple trio of votives. A basket with greenery below the table creates an asymmetrical look that I love!  The Brick has so many great accents of wicker trays, baskets, candles and faux greenery so if this natural looking set up is your style, I highly suggest checking out the accessories at The Brick
