GTL: Jillian Harris Glam
Words cannot describe how giddy I was when I saw this room. Jillian Harris decorated the most fab "bachelorette" inspired showhome for Brookfield Homes Calgary, and this space pretty much has me written all over it! If you haven't seen the pictures from the rest of the space I HIGHLY suggest you check them out here. For the purposes of this week's GTL I chose to focus on this pretty girly-girl's living room. Let's break it down...
The room itself is neutral - with soft taupey grey walls and a grey-wash flooring, the room is a blank canvas left to decorate.
Part of why I love this room so much is because of the juxtaposition of the soft feminine palette paired with striking bolder pieces, such as the striped rug. The driftwood coffee table adds a touch of nature to a mainly glam space and the two upholstered pieces are both standouts. A robin's egg blue tufted sofa is a major statement piece while the gold Moroccan-inspired ottomans add some serious glamour.
These strong pieces are balanced by a soft color palette, delicate pretty wallpaper (seriously, how freaking gorgeous is that wallpaper!) and a pair of chic octagonal mirrors adding light and reflection to the room.
An eclectic group of accessories all tie the space together. Floral accents, contrasting toss cushions, a brass lamp to pick up on the side table and coffee table accessories finish off the look.
Hope you love this room as much as I do!
