Is anyone else experiencing a pearl obsession right now? From earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and hair accessories, the pearl is having a major modernized moment paired with rosegold, contemporary lines and unexpected sizings.  Just check out some of these beauties below to see what I mean!

Always looking for simple ways to add a little flair to my ponytail or bun, I thought I'd spruce up my standard bobby pins and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out! Plus, they take literally minutes to make!

Here's what you'll need: Bobby Pins // Faux Jewelry Pearls (I bought a multi size pack so I could make a few different sizes) // Jewelry Wire in the same color as your bobby pins // Hot Glue Gun // Scissors

Start by cutting a piece of wire and stringing it through the 'pearl'.  Twist the wire around to secure the pearl then run each end of the wire through the bobby pin end and twist around once to loosely secure. Dab the end of the bobby pin with hot glue and place pearl to secure.  Twist the rest of the wire around the end of the bobby pin or trim the excess and you're done!

Use the pins to secure hair wrapped around a pony for a more polished look, use a few around a bun or secure loose strands wearing your hair down to add just a little somethin somethin to your look.

I'm really happy with how these turned out and I'll definitely be making a few more.  You can play around with different bead sizes or adding multiples to one pin for a different look. We'd love to see if you make some of these of your own- be sure to share with #204Park so we see them!
