Decorating With Reside Furnishings

As most of you dolls know, before mommyhood, I was a designer by day. Some of my favourite projects to work on were the showhomes that I loved showing you guys while I was designing and decorating away.

You haven't seen much from the last home that I worked on, so I wanted to show off two of the bedrooms, and for good reason! You all know how much 204 Park loves to support local and independent businesses, and a few choice pieces from these rooms came from locally owned Reside Furnishings - can I get a woop woop for shopping local?!?

As a designer, I'm always asked where I shop for furniture, so I thought I'd give you one of my insider tips! This store has been insanely helpful when I've needed to source both custom and floor model (read - designer emergency) pieces.

This last home had a modern and eclectic vibe, but the goal was to keep it warm and welcoming. I made sure to use lots of textures and patterns to add visual interest and to keep it from feeling too sterile. In the master bedroom, I chose a funky geometric wallpaper to be the focal point, and complimented the angular design with gold scalloped side tables and this curved upholstered bed. I love detail on the side of the headboard!

For the guest bedroom, I kept things much more neutral. I instantly loved this fab tufted grey headboard with nailhead detailing. Mirrored accent tables help make the room look larger, and that copper table lamp? Love!

You guys have no idea how much fun I had working on this house! There's nothing better than shopping for furniture and accessories, and shopping local is a great way to find unique pieces that you might not find elsewhere. Reside was a great source for me because I could customize the pieces that I needed to to suit the style of the house.
