Slowing Down During the Busiest Time of Year!
Well, we’re nearly at the end of November, which means that the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season is in full swing. I don’t know about you but while I absolutely love the holidays, I find that this time of year can be a bit stressful too. With so many commitments and things to do it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
This year I’ve been working very hard at trying to slow down and spend more quality time with my favourite people and the holidays are a good reminder to do just that. As James is going back to England this Christmas we’re trying to soak up as much together time as we can before we have to spend our first Christmas apart in 6 years!
My favourite kind of night is one where we stay inside, watch a bit of Netflix and get in lots of cuddles with Herman! Oh and also, my favourite kind of night is one that does NOT involve cooking either! haha By now you all know that I love Swiss Chalet, they’re one of our go-to’s for ordering delivery for a date night in. The last few times we’ve ordered in, James and I have ordered from Swiss Chalet’s Weight Watchers menu and we’ve been hooked! To be honest, we were both surprised at how much flavour our ‘Weight Watchers’ meals had!
Seeing as it’s the season to over-indulge, we love that there’s healthy options for us to have delivered that are satisfying and delicious, but also a bit better for our waistline too! With all the extra holiday baking and chocolates (not to mention the extra glasses of vino that get consumed this time of year!), we’re trying to make healthier choices where we can.
The Weight Watchers Healthy Selections menu from Swiss Chalet is a great option, even if you’re not on the Weight Watchers program. For me, I just like to be able to order a meal knowing that it’s going to be healthy as well as delicious. The WW Spinach Chicken Salad is my absolute favourite right now, whereas James’ go-to is the WW Quarter Chicken White Meal.
I don’t know about you but for me, there’s nothing better than a quiet date night in to unwind during this busy time of year! What about you? How do you unwind and relax over the holidays?
