Mid-Century Modern Living Room Refresh

Hello friends, I am SO excited for today because I'm revealing our mid-century modern living room refresh! You might remember a few weeks ago I shared our plans to make a few changes to our living space and today I'm finally ready to show it off! In all reality, our home will never be 'done', I already have additional changes in mind for this space as I do love constantly moving things around and tweaking our decor but for the moment, I'm absolutely smitten with this space!

One of the biggest changes we made was getting a new area rug from The Brick. The Ahmar area rug is GORGEOUS and one that I became obsessed with as soon as I saw it online! Truth be told- I've actually also ordered it for two design clients of mine (sorry, not sorry) because it's beautiful, makes a great statement and is super affordable! I'm happy to finally have a rug in this space that adds more texture plus, Herman loves it too!

Next up was our new Calla sofa. It's a great piece that's perfect for smaller scale spaces plus, design trends are forecasting curved pieces such as this one to be a huge trend this year. Also - it's incredibly affordable, like seriously, check it out, so it's perfect for making a big design statement without breaking the bank.

The next change we made was adding in the Kisper end table. Holy man you guys, I freaking love this piece! It's got great mid-century modern lines and it has a ton of hidden storage so it's super functional. We actually don't have any hidden storage in our living room so this is HUGE for us to finally have some space to tuck away all of the "stuff" that inevitably piles up in our living room. (usually my notes and paperwork that end up cluttering our coffee table, oops!)

I am so happy with how this space is looking right now! Our new mid-century modern pieces from The Brick tie into our existing pieces perfectly! Our coffee table is a noguchi table but The Brick's soyo table is so similar and is another great mid-century modern classic. I also love that the Glass Shade Floor Lamp from The Brick is a smaller scale piece so it's perfect for tucking away and nestling in between our fig tree and new side table

Lastly of course to tie it all together, are the accessories. I've long been an accessories hoarder so I always feel like I have lots of options to pull from and swap out but if you're looking for new accessories I'd highly suggest popping into your nearest Brick store. Most people don't know that The Brick carries a ton of accessories from vases, decorative objects, faux greenery (I found a faux fig tree there that I love!), candles, trays and more and they're getting in new stock all the time!

What do you think of our living room refresh? Is mid-century modern style your jam, or are you into other design trends right now? Let me know in the comments below!
