Kate Spade No Carve Pumpkin DIY

If you've been following this blog for any amount of time it should be no surprise that I'm a big Kate Spade fan. When it comes to Halloween I try to put a feminine spin on things, like I showed you with my DIY Halloween Manicure. So, for an easy no carve pumpkin idea I took inspiration from my Kate Spade DIY folders and decided to try Kate Spade DIY pumpkins!!

Look #1: Inspired by my Kate Spade Planner

For this pumpkin all I used was watercolor paint! Once the white spray paint dried on my pumpkin (allow 24 hours for paint to cure) I used green paint and created a rough pattern based on the pattern from my planner. The paint isn't a perfect match (dried a bit more blue than totally green but it's close enough for me! haha) Thankfully this pattern doesn't need to be perfect so don't stress too much about it - just have fun! With all the pumpkins I finished it off by using a gold paint pen on the stem.

Look #2: Inspired by my Kate Spade DIY folders & Kate Spade Notebooks

Kate Spade is very well known for the gold polka dot motif. I did the same thing I did with my DIY file folders and I used round happy face stickers from the dollar store, painted them gold then placed them all over the pumpkin, finishing it off with the gold paint pen on the stem.

Look #3: Inspired by Kate Spade push pins & Kate Spade bow motif

This last pumpkin was the trickiest and by far my least perfect. I thought I'd draw on the bows with a black pen but I forgot that sometimes black markers go green on white paint. OOPS! Enter my Julep striping plie wand attachment to use black nail polish to go over the bows that I had drawn in markers. I used the regular nail polish applicator to fill in and finished off with the gold stem. This one isn't perfect and for next time, I'd use pencil to trace your bows then fill in with nail polish but it's still totally cute and fits the Kate Spade theme.
