The Old Stomping Grounds

Happy monday everyone! I don't know about you, but I had a fabulous weekend and I'm feeling rested and ready for this week! Weekends have always been a struggle for me as my boyfriend James takes most of the photos for this blog and as he works M-F, the weekends are the time we have together to get photos done. However, seeing as one of our collective goals has been to work less over the weekends and enjoy more time together, we've had to get smarter about how we spend our time and combining our weekend plans with blog photos.

This weekend our plans on saturday got a little bit derailed in the best way possible. James got a text from a colleague who knew we'd been on the hunt for the perfect set of mid century modern chairs with a photo of these beauties which are EXACTLY what we've been looking for! At a STEAL of a price ($275 for both chairs and the stool!!) I rushed to get ready so we could head over immediately to get them, brushing off our original plans for the morning. As luck would have it we got there at exactly the right time, with someone phoning in to buy them less than 5 minutes from when we walked in the door. Can you say perfect timing?!

However, in my rush and excitement running out the door I grabbed our camera but totally forgot the SD card - d'oh! So back home we went to get the SD card and my first choice of shoot location was now way too far to go all the way back to. So as James and I drove around trying to decide where to shoot photos we thought, let's head back to our old stomping grounds, good old Century Park - where 204 Park began!

James and I both absolutely adored our condo, and still miss it so being back there taking photos felt just right. As much as I'd have loved to shoot at my originally planned location, sometimes things happen for a reason and I'm glad we went back to the old condo for a few photos.

On the weekends my day time look is usually pretty casual with a bit of edge or feminine flair. Since we were going to pick up furniture I knew my look had to be  comfortable plus, we had lots of other errands to run. I've been loving my new ECCO Soft 3 High Tops as they're perfect for looking stylish and being comfortable and they fit the bill perfectly with my casual weekend look. To keep things a bit more feminine, a statement necklace and bold lip keep the look flirty so I feel totally stylish while also being comfortable for a full day of errands, photos and furniture shopping!
