Tried and True Beauty Favourites

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I’m not an ‘expert’ when it comes to beauty; skincare, makeup, hair tutorials, etc, however I am someone who values a great product and appreciates getting honest recommendations and advice on all things beauty. Over the years I’ve been fortunate, through this blog, to try all kinds of beauty products. I won’t lie - I love it! I feel like a little kid getting ‘play’ with fun packages and products however a lot of the products don’t even see the light of day on my blog or social media because well, they just don’t quite make the cut.

The harsh winter weather can wreak havoc on our skin so I thought that this was the perfect time to share some of my skincare favourites. I don’t blog about beauty often but when I do, it’s for a good reason. So today my friends I want to share with you a few of my tried and true beauty favourites. These are products I’ve been using for over a year that I buy again, love and want to tell everyone about them by shouting from the rooftops! haha (Okay, so maybe that was a tad dramatic but you get the jist, right?)

So let’s get right to it….

  1. Pura Botanicals Rose Quartz Roller

When I first got my rose quartz roller I loved it! I thought it was so pretty (which is obviously very important, right? haha), I loved that it was made of Rose Quartz but at that time I didn’t realize how much I would LOVE this beauty tool and make it a part of my daily routine. In addition to the benefits which you can read more on in my post about it here, I love the relaxing ritual I’ve gotten into in making this a part of my nightly routine. If you don’t have a stone roller yet, I highly recommend it!

2. Dr Dennis Gross Pore Perfecting Cleanser + Daily Exfoliating Pads

I received this duo in a PR package over a year ago and I’ve been ordering them both since! The cleanser is my nighttime cleanser and I use it after taking my makeup off with wipes. I love the texture of the cleanser, that it clears my skin really well and that a little goes a long way! The product that basically rocked my world though are the daily exfoliating pads. I can’t say enough good things about these! They’ve worked wonders on my skin and I notice a big difference when I use them regularly vs when I don’t when it comes to my skin’s tone, texture and the clarity of my skin.

3. Sahajan Essential Oil Cleanser

So my evening cleanser is the one I mentioned above but my morning cleanser or the cleanser I use if my skin is a bit sensitive or dry is Sahajan's Essential Oil Cleanser. This is great for removing makeup and is a natural cleanser that is gentle but works. I am a HUGE fan and supporter of Sahajan beauty - if you missed my first post about why I love them so much, it’s worth the read here. The story behind how this brand came to be is one that I love and knowing that there’s a natural beauty brand I can feel good about supporting is a win if you ask me!

4. Remington Cleansing Brush

I won’t lie, I was a bit skeptical when I received my Remington Cleansing Brush to try. I’d tried a different brand’s similar product that was more expensive and it broke the first time I’d tried to use it so… I wasn’t expecting much from this lesser expensive version. Well, over a year later I use this brush every day and I am obsessed! I love that I can switch out the different heads depending on the level of softness or exfoliation I need. I feel like when I use one of the two cleansers above, it’s more effective because I know that the brush is helping the cleansers work to their full potential. This brush is affordable, compact and works so well - it gets an A+ from me!
