Time to Talk: Spring Trends

Is it safe yet to say that I think Spring is finally here in Edmonton? I've been SO over the snow for months already, so now that it's April and the weather seems to be smartening up a bit I'm ready to go HAM with spring fashion.  This spring there are some killer trends to be inspired by but these four are up there as some of my favorites.  The return of the "lady" with a full midi skirt, a bit of a 90's vibe with crop tops, comfortable and stylish slip on sneaks and spring's must have shoe - the mule.

Midi Skirt: 1. Topshop Blush Tulle Skirt // 2. Roskanda Ilincic Stretch Skirt // 3. River Island Geometric Skirt Mule: 1. Gianvito Rossi Python & Leather Mule // 2. Zara Leather High Heel Mule// 3. Victoria's Secret Cut Out Mule Sandals Slip Ons: 1. The Blonde Salad X Steve Madden // 2. Sam Edemlan Becker Leopard // 3. Miu Miu Metallic Toe Slip-Ons Crop Top: 1. Topshop Laser Cut Crop Top // 2. Vero Moda Beaded Crop Top // 3. Alice and Olivia Connely Crop

So, now that we've looked at a few of my faves, here's some inspiration for how to wear them! Thankfully two of these pieces work veeeery well together; the midi skirt and crop top.  A crop top can be a scary piece to try to incorporate into your wardrobe, so pairing this daring top with a fuller (in texture and coverage) skirt, balances out the look.  Just check out some of these looks here to see how it's done!

As for these footwear trends, the mule is a versatile shoe that can be dressed up or added to a more casual look while the slip on sneaker is spring's most comfortable shoe (trust me - I have those Sam Edelman's and I LOVE them)!

So there's a round up of a few of my favorites, but there are so many that we didn't get a chance to talk about today! What other spring trends for this year are your favorite?
