Luxe for Less: Bronzer, Baby!
While we're late in July and most of us find ourselves with a bit of a tan if you're like me, you've got a J Lo glow everywhere but your face. Between my SPF moisturiser and make-up, the face doesn't get much of a natural tan so I rely heavily on my bronzer. In the summer it keeps me looking like a bronzed beauty whereas in the winter it just keeps me from looking like a ghost!
I turned to our glam gal and make-up extraordinaire Jen Bagnariol and asked her for her top three bronzers at the high, mid and low range and coincidentally, her low pick was my go-to daily bronzer (go figure)! So, while the sun's still shining, let's get on with it and get down to our best bronzers luxe for less!
Guerlain is known for luxurious products and their bronzer is no different. Jen loves this bronzer for it's long wearing and moisturising properties. This is a good bronzer that works well on all skin tones and hair colors, creating a natural looking tan (no scary orange look here) which is really what you're looking for in a good bronzer.
When Jen showed me the first thing she told me to do was "smell it" - which is not my initial test when trying a new product. Chocolate lovers be warned - this stuff smells like chocolate, due to the real cocoa they use in the product. So warning: if your boyfriend, girlfriend, dog, cat, stranger, attacks your face....it's because you both look and smell delicious.
I have used this bronzer for years and always been so happy with it. With just the slightest bit of shimmer (think glowing not sparkly), it leaves me feeling radiant. It's easy to work with, has a good amount of pigmentation that's easy to build up and it comes in at a great price point which for me is always a bonus.
When it comes to a bronzer brush as I mentioned here I love my new Sephora #46 brush but Jen also recommends the Sephora #60 for an overall soft application and the Sephora #74 for contouring use with bronzer too!
