Moroccan Tile Inspiration for an Eclectic Living Room Design

Every once in awhile I come across a certain decor piece or design finish that has me so inspired, I start dreaming of ways to use it. #designerproblems A few weeks back I came across this STUNNING Marrakesh glass hexagon mosaic tile from Home Depot and I fell in love with all of the gorgeous colors and patterns. I immediately thought of this image I’ve been fawning over on Pinterest and thought of how perfect it would be in an eclectic living room with bright accents and colors to create a cozy oasis.

I put together a little mood board to show off a space I know I’d love to curl up in! What’s so great about this tile is that there are so many colors to pull from for inspiration. I don’t often decorate with yellow but this tufted ottoman called my name and I love that it ties into some of the warmer reds, yellows and oranges in the tile.

A warm hardwood grounds this space while a patterned blue area rug adds texture and ties into all of the blues in the tile. White armchairs keep the room from being too overdone and how much do you love this side table?! I’d add some more modern elements to this room to finish it off such as this sputnik chandelier and a pop of green is always a good idea when it comes to adding final decor details to any room!

I would love to see this funky eclectic room come to life! If you’re thinking of re-doing a space in your home don’t be afraid to go bold! Step outside your comfort zone a bit and have fun with finishes like this glass tile. A design risk can go a long way in creating a space that you’ll love to show off!

So what do you think, would you ever use a bold tile like this in your own place? Let me know what you think of this space in the comments below!
