Spring Front Entry Refresh

is it just me or is anybody else SO over winter?! haha I don't know about you but after a few months of being cooped up indoors I start to feel two things

1. A desperate need to book a warm getaway  and

2. The need to redecorate nearly every room in my house

Luckily for me I've managed to do both. I have a quick getaway to Palm Springs booked for next month (can't come soon enough!) aaand as you've probably noticed, I've been working on a few space refreshes. In case you missed it, you can check out my living room refresh here

MID-CENTURY MODERN LIVING ROOM REFRESH

Next space on my list: my front entryway. Sadly our home does not have the expansive entryway of my dreams but what I do love about it is I've managed to create a stylish and functional space I love with a few affordable pieces from The Brick! When I first started working on this space I wanted to find a piece to be the anchor of this little nook and the North Avenue Sofa Table fit the bill perfectly. By now you all should know my love of the North Avenue Collection from The Brick. This whole line is great for smaller scale spaces such as our front entry. The pieces are modern, minimalist and totally affordable (heck yes to ALL of that!).  For practical purposes I tuck two of the Chilton Ottomans underneath. They're great for when you need to sit to put on your shoes and when we entertain I pull them into the living room as additional seating. To round off the trio of anchor pieces, a simple round mirror. This one is an old one but the Oryx from The Brick is almost exactly the same, just with a brass frame (you can see it in my dining room here).

What's especially wonderful about these pieces is that there are so many ways to style them (remember this post where I styled my living room 3 totally different ways?) so as I've been longing for spring but find myself still trudging through the snow, I decided to bring the spring indoors with a few new accents!

FRONT ENTRY 3 WAYS

It's no secret that shopping for accessories and re-styling is one of my favourite things to do, I think it's amazing how changing a few accessories can totally change the feel of a room. Last week I popped into The Brick to grab a few accessories and I picked up a few great pieces that I thought would be perfect for a spring inspired refresh. I grabbed a set of awesome textured vases (the soft blue is such a pretty color!), a small vase perfect for nestling and holding a sprig of fresh greens and a great statement wooden decor accent. Pastels and natural elements are perfect spring inspired decor elements that instantly freshen up a space! Take a look below at the finished look, what do you think?

Remember, The Brick gets new accessories in store all the time; every location has a slightly different variety and they're not listed online so pop into your nearest store to source your own great accessories!
