Beautiful Minimalist Dining Space
I love minimalist design but if I'm being honest with myself, it's just not how I roll in my own house. In my own space I'm all about layering and creating groupings and adding lots of decor to my place so sometimes it's fun when you get to flex some different decor muscles.
When Kristina and I were staging the Glenora house we knew that we wanted our decor to be impactful but not overwhelming. With a fair amount going on in the living room and such a statement kitchen (just take a look for yourself down below!) we wanted the dining room to be pretty simple.
The key to keeping things minimal is to find pieces that really stand on their own. When we were looking for a dining set the Keswick table from the Brick immediately caught our eye. The stunning details of the wood and the leg designs instantly stood out to us and it was our first choice to use in the dining space. We wanted the wood to be the key feature of that space so in finding chairs we wanted to find pieces that would complement the beauty of the dining table without taking away from it.
I've never been a big fan of the matchy matchy furniture sets so I love to mix textures and materials like we did here. The tufted fabric of the Caroline dining chairs and bench from the Brick are the perfect contrast to the wooden table and look so beautiful in that bright and airy space.
When staging a home for sale, it's very different from decorating for your own home (more on that here) so while my first thought for this space might have been to add artwork and lots of accents for this space we wanted to show off how bright and open the dining area was so we decided to keep the room simple with just a pop of green and allow the pieces we did use to really shine.
What do you think of this beautiful dining space? Also, I've fallen so in love with these dining chairs/bench that I'm going to be testing them out in my space so stay tuned for that!
