Park Picks 08.31.18

Today Tracey and I are headed to Drumheller for the day for a fun girl's trip day so I'm sitting here typing this while I truthfully should be getting ready for the day (it's late thursday night as I type this and I'm majorly procrastinating haha). I can't believe it's the last day of August! In so many ways this summer seemed to be a summer filled with adventures and fun but also, I feel like it flew by in a snap! And while I know that summer isn't over just yet as soon as September hits, my mind instantly switches to all things fall - does anyone else do that?

If you want to get caught up on August's earlier Park Picks check out the past posts here:

08.10.18 - The first Park Picks post in YEARS! This was a special thank you post

08.17.18 - Feat the healthy breakfast cookies I've been making on repeat, the minimalist/scandi light I'm loving and my most recent treat-yo-self purchase

08.24.18 - My life changing hair experience, a fun video of the cross country trip I was a part of and the jumpsuit I've hardly taken off since buying were among the week's other finds

Now let's get to this week's #ParkPicks....

One Door YEG

If you live in Edmonton, chances are you may be seeing these doors around the city. Something pretty great is coming soon to Edmonton and it's all supporting an INCREDIBLE cause. Supporting mental health initiatives is very near and dear to me and while I can't spill the beans just yet on what's going down if you happen to stumble upon one of these doors in our city stop and snap a photo and share using #onedooryeg to show your support for mental health initiatives. More coming soon....

In the meantime, here's a list of the door locations for you to check out!

·         104 Street Farmer’s Market (Aug 25, Sept 1, Sept 8)

·         St. Albert Farmer’s Market (Aug 25, Sept 1, Sept 8)

Rachel Wadlow Art

Probably my favourite part of Instagram is discovering other inspiring creatives. I came across Rachel Wadlow Art last week and it's safe to say I am OBSESSED with her gorgeous abstracts! She even offers a service where she creates an abstract based off of your own photograph (or bridal bouquet, or brand, etc)  so you guys KNOW I'll be sorting through my many photos of Herman to find the right photo to have one made. I love that her pieces are personal, affordable and totally stylish. SO in love with her work - go check her out!!

Crazy Rich Asians - The Movie

Last week the book club I'm a part of went to go see Crazy Rich Asians since that was our last book and you guys, I FREAKING LOVED IT! If you haven't read the book I highly recommend it - I read it earlier this year and thought it was a really fun, easy and totally entertaining read. The movie was exactly what I'd hoped it would be. I'm not usually a fan of movies based on books I've read but I thought this movie was too cute, super funny and it had me laughing out loud in the theatre.
